Das Radom wird ohne Vakuum laminiert, dabei werden die ersten Gewebelagen bis zur Formenkante besäumt, die letzte Lage bleibt jeweils auf einer Seite um einige Millimeter stehen. Dann wird die Form "nass in nass" verschlossen, dabei ergibt sich eine Ueberlappung der Gewebelagen.
The radome is one of the few parts that do not require the vacuum technology. The glass layers are even with one edge of the mold half and have an overlapp at the other side.When putting the two parts together, we have overlappings that guarantee a strong joint.
Die Zugangsdeckel für die Triebwerksmontageöffnung werden ebenfalls in Sandwichbauweise unter Vakuum gefertigt.
